Hawaii’s federal drug task force is sounding the alarm as a highly potent batch of fentanyl is killing people on the Big Island. Fentanyl has been an issue with the crisis at the Southern border and is truly a nationwide problem. Fentanyl is an opioid that is 100 times more powerful than morphine. A piece that is as small as a grain of salt can be deadly.
Big Tech companies have ignored this problem after Senator Daines (R-MT) called on them to join forces and address the sale of fentanyl over the social media platforms.
President Biden has repeatedly ignored the fentanyl problem by allowing the crisis at the southern border to continue.
The Hawaii HIDTA has stated that they have “received information that a shipment of suspected powdered fentanyl was smuggled into and distributed on Hawaii island along with a large amount of rainbow-colored counterfeit pills containing fentanyl. The powdered fentanyl has resulted in high overdoses, with multiple fatalities.
If it is not clear already, we are facing a massive fentanyl epidemic. This drug has become the nation’s number one killer of adults between the ages of 18 and 45. Fentanyl overdoses surpass car accidents, violent crimes and suicides.
