November 2nd was a big loss for Democrats as Republicans made statements all over the country. In response, Joe Biden is urging that Democrats act fast, and pass his Build Back Better initiative.

Context: The big losses in Virginia and beyond have Joe Biden and Democrats scrambling. As a result, Joe Biden will push his domestic agenda to stop the same outcome in 2022.

As a result of the losses, Democrats have concluded that voters were unhappy with their inability to spend trillions of dollars.

Joe Biden claimed that his Build Back Better initiative will help ease Americans’ fears about covid, school, and jobs.

Why it Matters: Voters rejected the left’s lurch into progressivism over the last few years. Democrats responded and are instead doubling down on those policies.

We are 12 months away from the 2022 midterms and voters will be allowed to judge the Democrat’s approach again.

What They are Saying:

“If I’m able to pass and sign into law my Build Back Better initiative, I’m in a position where you’re going to see a lot of those things ameliorated quickly and swiftly.” Joe Biden said from the White House.

“Plus, on the election front. I actually think we have good news as well. I know that Virginia was a huge bummer. And honestly, if anything, I think that the results show the limits of trying to run a fully 100% super moderated campaign that does not excite speak to or energize a progressive base.” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said on her Instagram story.

“This is not a center-left or a left country. We are a center — if anything, a little center-right country, and this means that’s being shown. And we ought to be able to recognize that,” Joe Manchin told CNN.
