What’s Happening: For years the Virginia GOP has struggled to gain traction and has been steadily losing ground to the Democrats as the state turned blue.
Republican Glenn Youngkin is neck and neck as the governor’s race will be decided Tuesday and he entered the race because he thought the Republican Party “could do so much better.”
Why is it Important?: Virginia went blue for Barack Obama in 2008 and it has been a losing streak for Republicans ever since.
