Context: The January 6th Select Committee has requested the cooperation of Fox News host Sean Hannity due to his close relationship with Donald Trump.
Why this matters: Documents revealed last month that Hannity was in digital communication with then-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows telling him to ask Trump to urge his supporters to stop.
Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-Miss) and Vice-Chair Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) sent a letter saying the questions would be narrow and wouldn’t include inquiries into his political views or show.
