The former minister of finance is set to become Britain’s PM after the only other contender dropped out this morning. Sunak is known for signing off on massive COVID lockdown checks and pushing taxes to the highest levels in decades. The committee overseeing the nomination process refused to reveal how many backers Sunak received in total. The handover of power from Liz Truss could potentially all take place this afternoon or tomorrow.
Sunak will be the third Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in just three months. He will also be the youngest Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in over 200 years, and the country’s first non-white Prime Minister. Many conservatives in the UK see Sunak’s rise as a result of the fake conservative crowd inside the party.
Former leader of the UK Independent Party and driving force behind the Brexit movement, Nigel Farage, sees this as the end of the Conservative party:
The ERG cannot support any candidate because, as I said last week, the globalist coup has succeeded. There is no Conservative party. It is dead.
