A new poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal indicates that voters are pessimistic about both Joe Biden’s leadership and the economy.

Context: The 2022 midterms are quickly approaching and as voters prepare to make their decision a new poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal shows the Democrats could be in for a tough election season.

A tough winter was projected for Biden earlier this fall, and it doesn’t appear to be getting any better.

What was found? The poll was conducted among 1,500 registered voters in a new bipartisan polling approach.

The Wall Street Journal enlisted the firms of Democrat John Anzalone and Republican Tony Fabrizio to conduct the new poll.

Interestingly, the poll found that only 41% approve, at least somewhat, of Biden.

For congress, voters said they would support a Republican over a Democrat at a rate of 44% to 41%.

Tellingly 63% of voters believe the country is headed in the wrong direction.

Economically voters think Republicans have better economic policy 43% to 34%.
