President Biden is planning to extend the mandatory mask requirement for travel.

What Happened: The move which is expected to be announced Thursday afternoon will extend the mask requirement for airplanes, trains, and in transit hubs through April 18.

The order was set to expire on March 18.

What Comes Next: The official told Reuters that over the next month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will work with government agencies “to help inform a revised policy framework for when, and under what circumstances, masks should be required in the public transportation corridor.” (per Newsmax)


Airline and some government officials think this could be the last nationwide extension of the mask requirements.

Context: The extension comes as the country is experiencing a major drop in Covid-19 cases and more and more Democrat lawmakers have begun pushing for a return to normalcy.
