Despite being on the controversial side of many Supreme Court decisions, Supreme Court Justice John Roberts is the most popular federal official.
Context: A recent Gallup poll revealed that Roberts is the most popular federal official. Sixty percent of Americans approve of how he is handling his role.
Surprisingly, two other figures topped 50% approval Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell (53) and Dr. Anthony Fauci (52).
What this means: Americans’ impressions of Washington are usually negative so it is interesting to see where major figures rank.
The top Republican is House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy with 46% approval.
Interestingly, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has an approval rating of 34%.
