Former President Donald Trump covered a range of issues with Oz at a Greenberg rally.
Trump compared himself to Oz, saying “Dr. Oz has led an enormously successful career on television, and now he’s running to save our country, just like I do.”
He also brought up his recent success in Ohio and Indiana, where all 22 candidates he endorsed won their primary races.
Trump took a shot at Oz’s competition, who is endorsed by former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, David McCormick.
“So, I don’t know David well, and he may be a nice guy, but he’s not MAGA. He’s not MAGA. He’s more Toomey than he is MAGA,” Trump said.
Oz took the stage briefly, quickly stating his views on a few hot topics. He alluded to firing Dr. Fauci, touched on inflation, and brought up controversies surrounding gender in sports and schools.
“The simple thing is we should be able to say that we see, like, biologic men should not play women’s sports. You all agree with that?” Oz said, referring to men who identify as women.
“Well, why isn’t anyone saying that? Why didn’t the [National Collegiate Athletic Association] say it? Why didn’t my alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, say it? Because they’re cowards. They’re not willing to do what you’re willing to do to, bravely say what needs to be said,” he continued.
