Sen. Ted Cruz traveled to the southern border on Thursday to witness the end of Title 42 for himself. Cruz shared two videos to social media showing what he found and slamming Joe Biden for the disaster he created. The senator can be seen in front of razor wire and the Rio Grande in the first video. “Joe Biden, this is your fault,” Cruz says. Watch the video below:
I'm in Brownsville, seeing the #BidenBorderCrisis firsthand— this is his fault!
We already have the worst illegal immigration in the history of our country & it’s about to get worse.
Biden needs to stop hiding in the basement and go see this humanitarian crisis. #Title42 pic.twitter.com/HKJPv8NUKA

“The people who are killed crossing illegally, that is your fault. The women who are sexually abused crossing illegally, that is your fault. The children who are brutalized crossing illegally, that is your fault. The people who are dying of drug overdoses — over 100,000 last year — that is your fault,” says Cruz.
“We already have the worst illegal immigration in the history of our country and in just a few hours it’s getting worse,” he adds.
In his second video, the senator walks along a road near the Rio Grande where migrants belongings can seen strewn all over the ground. He describes how he has found clothing and belongings of children “no more than 5 or 6 years old.”
Cruz labeled the border situation as “horrific and cruel” and placed blame on Joe Biden and Democrats. Watch his second video below:
Horrific and cruel. The #BidenBorderCrisis is a deliberate political decision from Biden, Harris and every congressional Dem.
Biden brought back catch and release, he halted construction of the wall, & he ended the Remain in Mexico policy. Now Biden has let #Title42 expire! pic.twitter.com/NxFimctCsR

Yesterday, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas answered questions at a White House briefing on Thursday afternoon, hours before Title 42 is set to be lifted. Images of migrants flooding across the Rio Grande and other border sites could be seen as the secretary made his remarks. But somehow, Mayorkas managed to say that “our borders are not open.” There is currently 700,000 migrants waiting at the southern border to enter and be processed by Biden’s DHS. Over 400,000 illegal border crossings are expected to occur every month.
