Following a unanimous vote, the Republican National Committee announced that Milwaukee, Wisconsin will be the site of the 2024 national convention.
Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel tweeted a statement just after the vote.

Milwaukee is a world-class city, and we are eager to see it shine in the spotlight come 2024.
Milwaukee’s mayor, Cavalier Johnson, also issued a statement.
“Milwaukee welcomes the 2024 Republican National Convention. My city is ready to show the world what a great destination we are for conventions and tourism,” he said. “We look forward to the positive economic impact of the Presidential nomination convention, and, as the host city, I am confident all the attendees will find Milwaukee to be a splendid location for the event.”
Wisconsin is traditionally a key swing state. Major party figures will gather there to speak and formally nominate the eventual Republican Party ticket for 2024’s presidential election.
The RNC had been seriously considering Nashville, Tennessee as the location, but it was met with resistance by the city’s Democrat leadership.
Democrats have not yet announced the location of their convention.
