During Monday’s White House press briefing, which featured a final appearance from Anthony Fauci, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre shouted down a reporter who politely asked a question. The question regarding Fauci’s COVID response was critical of his work and Jean-Pierre was quick to interject seeing that things were not going how she wanted them to. Diana Glebova asked “several times what Fauci had done to investigate the origins of the virus,” when Jean-Pierre interjected:
“Hold on one second, we have a process here. I’m not calling on people who yell. You’re being disrespectful to your colleagues and you’re being disrespectful to our guest. I will not call on you if you yell, and also you’re taking time off the clock,”
She concluded, “I’m done with you!”
