The House of Representatives passed a major new bill designed to increase U.S. competitiveness with China.

The Details: The legislation is aimed primarily at securing U.S. supply chains and making them less dependent on foreign nations.


The bill includes 52 billion dollars to incentivize the production of semiconductors domestically.

The bill also includes 45 billion dollars to help manufacturing facilities strengthen their domestic capacities.

The bill was passed along party lines, with a margin of 222-210, lead by Democrats.
