The Details: The CDC panel came out against the vaccine on Thursday, citing the prevalence of relatively rare but seriously blood clots that have been linked to the vaccine.
It will not be up to the CDC director to either accept or decline the panel’s recommendations.
CDC experts claims that the other two popular vaccines, made by Pfizer and Modern respectively, do not pose the same risk.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine had previously been criticized for his lower effectiveness at preventing the spread of the original Coronavirus.
