Hunter Biden has filed a lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani, the lawyer who once served under the Trump administration. Biden alleges that Giuliani unlawfully shared contents from his controversial laptop, infringing on his privacy rights. The lawsuit, lodged in the Central District of California’s U.S. District Court, pinpoints Giuliani as the main actor in the violation of Hunter Biden’s online privacy.
Biden’s lawyers write:
“For the past many months and even years, Defendants have dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and energy toward looking for, hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, disseminating, and generally obsessing over data that they were given that was taken or stolen from Plaintiff’s devices or storage platforms, including what Defendants claim to have obtained from Plaintiff’s alleged ‘laptop’ computer,”
The document also lists Robert Costello, once a federal prosecutor who acted as legal counsel for Giuliani, as another party involved in the case. When approached for remarks, representatives for both Hunter Biden and Rudy Giuliani have yet to release any comments.
