President Joe Biden will make his first in-studio appearance on a late-night show this Wednesday on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” while in Los Angeles for the Summit of the Americas.
His appearance comes as his approval rating remains critically low amid soaring gas prices, inflation, and a series of unpopular moves regard a COVID pandemic that most of the general public seems to be moving on from.
According to NBC News, Biden had appeared multiple times on Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show” which is filmed in New York, but this will be his first time before a Hollywood studio audience.
Earlier in the day, the Bidens will address the inaugural ceremony at the Summit of the Americas. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will also give remarks at the summit which brings the hemisphere’s leaders together to discuss issues and promote regional security.
