White House economic advisor Brian Deese said the quiet part out loud when he insisted struggling Americans should be glad to pay record high gas prices because they will secure the “future of the Liberal World Order.

Deese made the comments on CNN during an interview with correspondent Victor Blackwell.

“What do you say to those families that say, ‘Listen, we can’t afford to pay $4.85 a gallon for months, if not years?” Blackwell asked Deese.

“This is about the future of the Liberal World Order and we have to stand firm,” Deese replied.

His comments come the same day that President Joe Biden expressed a similar sentiment during a speech at the NATIO summit in Madrid.

In regards to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Biden was asked, “How long is it fair to expect American drivers and drivers around the world to pay that premium for this war?”

The president replied, “As long as it takes,” insisting that the financial burden on American citizens is worth ensuring Russia is chased out of Ukraine without victory.

Biden has also previously invoked a “world order”, saying in late March that “there’s going to be a new world order out there, and we’ve got to lead it.”
