The Biden Administration has now decided to green-light three new solar energy projects near Joshua Tree California in what will be just the beginning of a new massive renewable energy project.
The Details: The project will reportedly span more than 5,000 acres in the California desert by Joshua Tree National Park.
The projects, once completely, will allegedly provide enough power to power 275,000 homes.
The projects are a part of the Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan, which seeks to develop seven, mostly desert counties in southern California.
The Other Side: Not everyone is happy about the projects however. Some environmental groups, including the California Wilderness Coalition, consider some of the development sites as an unacceptable encroachment onto sensitive wildlife habitat.
