Monday, a pair of Dutch F-35 fighter jets intercepted a formation of Russian military planes that were flying near Polish airspace. At the time it was unknown what aircrafts these were and who they belonged too, though they were approaching Polish NATO area. They were later identified as a Russian IL-200M Coot-A, and two SU-27 Flankers. This came after two Dutch F-35s escorted the group from a distance to an area that they were able to turn the planes over to other NATO partners.
