President Biden is once again inflating his former stature as an athlete during his college years at the University of Delaware. During a speech in New York on Thursday Biden spoke about meeting his first wife, “I met her on spring break and fell head over heels in love with her and gave up a starting job on the football team in Delaware to come up … every weekend because I couldn’t stay away.” Although he was a decent athlete during high school but the president did not excel during his days with the Blue Hens. Biden wrote in his 2018 memoir, “When my first semester grades came out, my mom and dad told me I wouldn’t be playing spring football.”

According to the Daily Pennsylvanian, he had a 1.9 GPA during that semester, part of a college career which saw him earn a C average overall.

GOP communications director Zach Parkinson did further research into Joe Biden’s short time on the Delaware football team and found that he only ever played as part of the freshman team and never lettered.
