Morgan posted a video promo for his upcoming interview with former President Donald Trump that claimed to be “the most explosive interview of the year”.

But the mainstream media continues to prove that things aren’t always what they seem.

Trump’s communications director released audio that appears to refute Morgan’s edited promo which seems to show Trump storming off the set due to questions about the 2020 election.

In a dramatized scene with cinematic music, Trump rises from his chair saying, “Turn the camera off” and calls Morgan “very dishonest”, appearing to walk off before the natural conclusion of the interview.

However, in the audio clip, the interview comes to an end with the two joking about Trump’s golf hole-in-one. Morgan thanks him for the “great interview” at which point Trump gets up from his chair and says to “turn the camera off”.

The “dishonest” comment came when Taylor Budowich, Trump’s communication director, took issue with Morgan repeatedly asking what he claimed was the final question.

“Is that the last question? You’ve said ‘the last question’ four times now,” Budowich told Morgan. “So I feel like you’re lying at this point.” Trump chimed in with the “very dishonest” comment at that point.

Trump said in a statement on the deception, “The good news is that the interview was taped by us as a means of keeping him honest.”

He added, “It just shows, however, what I have to deal with in the Fake News Media. He went out of his way to deceptively edit an interview and got caught. That is a big story, isn’t it?”
