A Trump-backed U.S. Senate candidate, Kelly Tshibaka, was endorsed by Maggie’s List, a women’s group, which is one of the leading players on the battlefield in the conservative movement.

Why it Matters: The group, affiliated with the prominent pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List has not endorsed a challenger since its founding in 2010 until now.

Background: Tshibaka goes up against Sen. Lisa Murkowski (D-AK), who has repeatedly voted against Republican positions, including voting to impeach President Donald J. Trump and voting “present” on the nomination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The support of Maggie’s List will be a key endorsement as Tshibaka goes into the primary election with backing not only of 45th President Donald Trump but also large groups that could mean the difference between victory and defeat.

What People Are Saying:

“Conservative candidates have an important mission in the 2022 elections – to regain control of both houses of Congress and we at Maggie’s List believe that our endorse candidates present the best opportunity to win their respective elections in November, Jennifer Carroll, former Florida lieutenant governor and Maggie’s List national spokesperson, told Fox News.

Carroll emphasized that Maggie’s List is “proud to endorse these three candidates who have already demonstrated their commitment to conservative values and serving our nation.”
