Actor Tim Allen mocked the woke crowd, and questioned “who is the face of woke?”, raising questions such as “Do wokees have a club house in someone’s backyard or maybe a cute yet safe playpen somewhere?”, said Allen on Monday via Twitter. Allen has gotten in trouble with the woke crowd in recent months due to his opposition to President Joe Biden, at times cracking jokes about his lack of awareness – likely due to his old age and obvious issues with mental cognition. While it isn’t okay to mock an old and struggling man, it is perfectly okay to call out when that man is the President of the United States of America, and the politicians surrounding him and the media are playing along with Biden being somehow mentally competent.
Allen joked about the “wokees”, wondering how they even find their issues and raising questions about who even comes up with this nonsense. While making fun of Twitter users is how most go about battling woke culture, Allen took it a step further – the outspoken Republican has even called out his former employers, such as Disney for their recent shifts in ideology.
According to the Daily Wire:
The “Toy Story” star, an open Republican, hasn’t hidden his thoughts about the “woke” insanity that has plagued our culture, which includes the gender identity push.
In June, Allen appeared to take a swipe at Disney’s pro-LGBTQIA+ programming when he tweeted about his latest trip to its famous theme park in southern California.
“Took some kids to Disneyland and overheard a 13 year old boy wondering if he may be pansexual since he loves skillets,” he tweeted at the time.
Disney/Pixar faced a backlash in June after it replaced Allen with Marvel star Chris Evans as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the film “Lightyear,” which featured LGBTQ scenes, which some speculated was the reason for the switch.
Actress Patricia Heaton’s tweet went viral at the time after she asked her fans why Disney would replace Allen in the hit animated “Toy Story” franchise.
“Saw the trailer for Buzz Lightyear and all I can say is Disney/Pixar made a HUGE mistake in not casting my pal Tim Allen in the role that he originated, the role that he owns,” the 64-year-old actress tweeted. “Tim IS Buzz! Why would they completely castrate this iconic, beloved character?”
As the saying goes, “go woke – go broke,” the modernized version of Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear was a complete flop, and was outpaced by nearly all of its competitors. While many film and television studios feel comfortable with putting LGBTQ or trans ideology into movies, at the end of the day, parents are the ones buying the tickets.
Allen’s choice to call out his former employee, Disney particularly, is a move that very few would dare to make. The now nearly 70-year-old actor knows that many of his best roles have already been done, so now he’s free to say whatever he’d like.
