Video following a small explosion and fire was posted on social media by tourists at the Hoover Dam in Nevada.

The circumstances surrounding the explosion were not immediately known, but there is currently no indication of threat to the dam’s structure.

The Boulder City Fire Department is currently responding to the scene.

Per the BCFD, the fire originated near the Arizona turbine house. There are 17 main turbines at the dam which collectively provide power for Nevada, Arizona, and California.

UPDATE: The Bureau of Reclamation, a federal office that manages water and power in the western United States, issued a statement.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
