House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) husband has been charged with driving under the influence after he was arrested last month near their California estate.

A Napa County District Attorney’s Office release reveals 82-year-old Paul Pelosi was arrested after he caused a collision with another vehicle which injured another person.

He submitted to a blood test and was found to have a .082 percent blood alcohol content, above the legal limit of .08 percent, but the release shows his blood was taken just over two hours after the collision occurred.

Pelosi faces two misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury and driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol level or higher causing injury.

He faces “up to five years of probation, a minimum of five days in jail, installation of an ignition interlock device, fines and fees, completion of a court ordered drinking driver class, and other terms as appropriate” according to the district attorney.

Nancy Pelosi was not with her husband at the time.
