The network confirmed the hiring of former White House press secretary on Tuesday.
Psaki will appear on various channels and programs as part of MSNBC’s political coverage this fall before hosting a program of her own, according to The Hill.
The new program, launching early 2023, will “bring together her unique perspective from behind the podium and her deep experience in the highest levels of government and presidential politics,” the network said.
Her immediate role will be to serve as one of NBC’s top pundits through midterm election coverage and leading up to the 2024 presidential election.
In a statement, Psaki alluded toward a potential fact-checking nature of her coverage, saying she is committed to participating in “fact-based and thoughtful conversations”.
“I can’t wait to create a space on streaming where we break down the facts, get to the bottom of what’s driving the issues and hopefully have some fun along the way,” she said.
