On Friday, it was confirmed to The Hill by two sources close to the White House that press secretary Jen Psaki will be leaving the Biden administration to take a job with MSNBC.
According to an Axios report, Psaki will leave the White House around May. The move has not yet formally been announced to the press team, and no contracts have yet been signed by the television network.
When previously asked by Fox News’ Peter Doocy about a potential departure from the Biden administration for a television gig, Psaki said, “I have more than enough on my plate here. So you can’t get rid of me quite yet. Sorry, Peter, for you on that.”
Psaki’s future departure from the White House is nothing new to the administration, with many others having departed, including Symone Sanders, former spokesperson for Vice President Harris. She was hired by MSNBC in January.
Psaki and other White House spokespeople did not immediately comment on the press secretary’s reported departure.
