North Carolina investigators are looking into the voter registration amid questions about the home address listed, the attorney general’s office said.
Public records show he is registered in two states. His registration in North Carolina listed a mobile home he does not own as his legal residence weeks before he cast his ballot in the 2020 presidential election.
The mobile home was listed as his physical address on September 19, 2020 while he served as Trump’s chief of staff in Washington DC. He case an absentee ballot for the general election by mail shortly after.
The New Yorker interviewed the former owner of the mobile home who said Meadows’ wife rented the property for a couple months but didn’t stay there frequently. The previous owner and neighbors could not recall seeing Meadows himself at the property.
