Sean Hannity of FOX News is set to host a debate between Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis, a GOP presidential hopeful, and California’s Democratic Governor, Gavin Newsom. Scheduled for Nov. 30 at 9 p.m. ET, this 90-minute face-off promises to be a lively event, being the first time the two powerhouses have shared a debate stage.
Hannity voiced his excitement about the debate, stating, “I’m looking forward to providing viewers with an informative debate about the everyday issues and governing philosophies that impact the lives of every American,”
It was during Hannity’s candid conversation with Newsom in June that the idea of this debate first took root. Newsom’s acceptance sparked enthusiasm from DeSantis, who quickly responded with a keen, “Let’s get it done. Just tell me when and where — we’ll do it,”
Though there’s much buzz about Newsom potentially joining the 2024 presidential race, he’s clarified he won’t challenge current Democrat President Biden. But have recent poll numbers showing former president Trump with a commanding lead over Biden in a potential general election forced Democrats to call on Newsom? Surely these rumors will be addressed in the much anticipated November showdown.
